The Saudi Foreign Ministry was forced to\u00a0go on\u00a0a non-denial denial overdrive about\u00a0a visit to\u00a0Israel on\u00a0July 22 by\u00a0a delegation led by\u00a0retired Gen. Anwar Eshki.<\/p>\n
Eshki happens to\u00a0be close to\u00a0Saudi intel superstar and onetime close Osama bin Laden pal Prince Turki bin Faisal, who recently met in\u00a0the open with\u00a0former Israel Defense Forces (IDF) generals Yaakov Amidror and Amos Yadlin.<\/p>\n
While in\u00a0Israel, Eshki met with\u00a0Foreign Ministry Director-General Dore Gold, and Maj. Gen. Yoav Mordechai, the top IDF honcho in\u00a0the West Bank.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s absolutely no way the House of\u00a0Saud would not have given a green light for\u00a0such a visit \u2013 and such high-level meetings. By the way, the Interior Ministry in\u00a0Saudi Arabia bans all travel to\u00a0Israel \u2013 as\u00a0well as\u00a0Iran and Iraq.<\/p>\n
So what\u2019s the big deal? The Israelis spun it as\u00a0the Saudis \u2013 fronting for\u00a0the Arab League\u00a0\u2014 offering a normalization of\u00a0ties with\u00a0the Arab world without\u00a0Israel abdicating from\u00a0anything on\u00a0the Palestinian front. The only thing Tel Aviv would have to\u00a0do, much later, is to\u00a0adopt the 2002,\u00a0Saudi-proposed Arab peace initiative<\/a>.<\/p>\n That\u2019s nonsense. For starters, the ultra right-wing Zionists in\u00a0power in\u00a0Tel Aviv will never accept reverting to\u00a0the pre-1967 borders and recognizing the state of\u00a0Palestine. What was \u201cdiscussed\u201d was a non-deal, even as\u00a0Tel Aviv gloats, \u201cimportant Arab states are willing to\u00a0openly embrace us even though we have not given up\u00a0one inch of\u00a0the West Bank and even as\u00a0we continue to\u00a0control Al-Aqsa Mosque.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n If the Arab League would ever embark in\u00a0such a blatant non-deal, forever throwing the Palestinians under\u00a0myriad bulldozers, chances are oligarchies\/petromonarchies all across\u00a0the spectrum should start booking that one-way ticket to\u00a0London.<\/p>\n That Moscow-Tehran-Ankara alliance<\/p>\n So what did they actually talk about? Predictably, the imminent prospect of\u00a0the\u00a0Full Spectrum Dominatrix<\/a>\u00a0finally taking over\u00a0the White House.<\/p>\n Both Bibi Netanyahu in\u00a0Tel Aviv and de facto House of\u00a0Saud ruler and Prince of\u00a0War Mohammad bin Salman in\u00a0Riyadh have been reduced, under\u00a0the Obama administration, to\u00a0the status of\u00a0proverbial, euphemistic \u201cestranged allies\u201d. Between them, they are de facto allies \u2013 even as\u00a0they cannot admit it to\u00a0the Arab street. The question is against\u00a0whom.<\/p>\n Informed speculation points towards\u00a0the Saudi\/Israeli common enemy,\u00a0Iran<\/a>. That\u2019s complicated. The joint Saudi\/Israeli strategy across\u00a0the Middle East is indeed in\u00a0tatters. Tehran has not been trapped in\u00a0a quagmire neither in\u00a0Syria nor in\u00a0Iraq. ISIS\/ISIL\/Daesh and assorted \u201cmoderate rebels\u201d \u2013 covertly supported by\u00a0the Saudi\/Israeli axis\u00a0\u2014 are on\u00a0the run, even if they insist they are not \u201cal-Qaeda<\/a>\u201d anymore.\u00a0 Prince of\u00a0War bin Salman is entrapped himself in\u00a0an unwinnable war on\u00a0Yemen.<\/p>\n And then there\u2019s the spectacular post-coup pivot by\u00a0Sultan Erdogan in\u00a0Turkey \u2013 for\u00a0all practical purposes abandoning those elaborate no-fly-zone dreams of\u00a0annexing a post-Assad Syria to\u00a0his neo-Ottoman set up.<\/p>\n The House of\u00a0Saud is livid as\u00a0Turkish diplomats have started to\u00a0spread this blockbuster news: Erdogan has proposed to\u00a0Iran\u2019s Rouhani an all-embracing alliance with\u00a0President Putin to\u00a0finally solve the Middle East riddle.<\/p>\n Whatever erratic Erdogan\u2019s agenda may be, a possible ice-breaking new deal between\u00a0Moscow and Ankara will be discussed de facto in\u00a0the upcoming Putin-Erdogan face-to-face meeting. All geopolitical signs at\u00a0this stage point \u2013 albeit tentatively \u2013 towards\u00a0a revived Russia\/Iran\/Turkey alliance, even as\u00a0a horrified House of\u00a0Saud is going no holds barred to\u00a0gain Moscow\u2019s trust by\u00a0offering \u201cuntold wealth<\/a>\u201d and privileged access to\u00a0the GCC market.<\/p>\n As confirmed by\u00a0a top Western intel source, \u201cthe Saudis are definitely keeping all contacts open with\u00a0the Kremlin. The Saudi King is in\u00a0Tangiers now and has met Russian envoys there. They mean what they say. But Putin will not abandon Assad. There has to\u00a0be a compromise. Both need it.\u201d<\/p>\n President Putin is in\u00a0a privileged spot. Even without\u00a0accepting the Saudi offer \u2013 which is just a promise, with\u00a0no ironclad guarantees \u2013 Russia holds the best cards, as\u00a0in a quite problematic but\u00a0ultimately feasible Moscow-Tehran-Ankara alliance that is all about\u00a0Eurasian integration (and a future seat for\u00a0Turkey, alongside\u00a0Iran, in\u00a0the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, SCO.)<\/p>\n A\u00a0Saudi-Moscow alliance<\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0its part would inevitably lead a Queen of\u00a0War administration towards \u2013 what else\u00a0\u2014 regime change in\u00a0Riyadh disguised as\u00a0R2P; \u201cresponsibility to\u00a0protect\u201d the Saudi populace. Of course this won\u2019t happen, but\u00a0a Hellfire barrage of\u00a0disinformation will be used by\u00a0the powerful anti-Iran lobby in\u00a0the US Congress to\u00a0sort of\u00a0make it happen, even as\u00a0an illusion.<\/p>\n And all this while Iran, among\u00a0other development matters, is busy planning a new transportation corridor from\u00a0the Persian Gulf to\u00a0the Black Sea, connecting to\u00a0Armenia, Georgia and Bulgaria, and positioning the nation as\u00a0a key trade hub connecting the Arab world in\u00a0the south and west; Central Asia in\u00a0the north; and Afghanistan and Pakistan in\u00a0the east, all the way to\u00a0Europe. Once again, Eurasian integration on\u00a0the move.<\/p>\n Tehran has myriad reasons to\u00a0be on\u00a0red alert if the Full Spectrum Dominatrix gets her hands on\u00a0the nuclear codes (how\u2019s that not scarier than\u00a0Trump?)\u00a0 She will act as\u00a0a surefire faithful servant of\u00a0the Saudi\/Israeli alliance.
